The Itaú Woman Entrepreneur platform is an Itaú initiative focused on supporting and developing women entrepreneurs, bringing together content, programs, and opportunities in a single digital environment.

With the growth of the initiative and the relevance of the program, the need arose to evolve the platform experience, making it clearer, more accessible, and aligned with the audience’s expectations.

The problem

An experience that did not match the program's relevance

The platform already existed, but it no longer matched the importance and growth of the initiative. With low visibility within the institutional website and an unclear structure, the content ended up hidden and difficult to navigate.

In addition, the design and information organization no longer reflected a current standard, which directly affected usability, engagement, and the way the program was perceived by users.

This ended up creating a gap between the content and the women entrepreneurs, reducing interest in and engagement with the platform.

Modernizing Itaú's digital experience with greater clarity and relevance

Modernizing the experience and positioning the platform

  • We redesigned the platform so that it would no longer be a secondary section and instead have its own presence, with a more modern, clear experience aligned with the audience. The focus was to improve the perception of value and make navigation more intuitive and relevant. 

Restructuring the architecture and technological foundation 

  • We built a new application architecture using modern technologies, solid infrastructure, and continuous delivery, ensuring greater performance, scalability, and flexibility for the platform's ongoing evolution.

Creation of a CMS and complete management system 

  • We developed a robust content and operations management system, allowing full control over content, users, courses, and pages, with an organized structure that is easy to manage. 


Structuring the journey and organizing content 

  • We reorganized how content is presented, creating categories, filters, search, and structured pages, making navigation clearer and the journey more directed for the user. 

Scalable infrastructure and high performance

  • We structured the DevOps infrastructure on AWS with a focus on high availability and scalability, supporting a large volume of access with stability and performance.

 

Security as a pillar of the architecture 

  • Security was treated as a pillar from architecture to deployment, with a three-layer approach. 


  • In development, we applied access control, data sanitization, and protections against vulnerabilities such as SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, and request abuse


  • In infrastructure, we used network isolation strategies, encryption of data at rest and in transit, as well as application firewalls for protection against attacks.


  • In the delivery process, we implemented CI/CD pipelines with security analyses (SAST, SCA, and DAST) and carried out external audits with pentests, ensuring compliance with banking industry standards.

 

Redesigning the experience with a focus on UI/UX and accessibility

  • We redesigned the interface with a focus on the female entrepreneurial audience, avoiding generic solutions and bringing the experience closer to the real usage context. The content organization was restructured to make navigation clearer, with categories, filters, and a better-defined hierarchy.


  • We also applied accessibility best practices following WCAG guidelines, with attention to contrast, spacing, and readability, ensuring a smoother and more inclusive navigation experience.


  • In the management system, we prioritized simplicity and clarity, with clearly separated areas, easy-to-understand tables, straightforward actions, and organized forms, always with content previews to make day-to-day use easier.

 

Result: a modern, responsive platform aligned with the importance of the initiative 

The platform's evolution transformed the navigation experience and the product's role within Itaú's ecosystem.

With a more organized structure, better distributed content, and a more intuitive journey, access to the program's initiatives becomes smoother and more directed.
